A few useful details

Before you install.

Does it work on every website?

Sound Adjuster works with standard HTML audio and video players. Protected media and browser security restrictions can limit the available controls. The popup explains when an adjustment isn't available.

What happens when I close the popup?

Your settings stay active in the current tab and apply to media added later on the same page. Turn on Remember if you'd like to restore those settings when you return to the site.

Does it make all videos equally loud?

No. You choose the volume and equalizer settings yourself. Remember restores those choices; it doesn't automatically match the loudness of different recordings.

Why does it need access to websites?

It needs to find audio and video elements on pages and apply your sound settings. Audio processing happens locally in your browser. The extension doesn't upload your audio or settings and contains no analytics or tracking.

Where are my settings saved?

Profiles and site preferences are stored locally in Firefox extension storage. They aren't synced between devices. Site profiles are not read or saved in private windows or on non-HTTP(S) pages.

Where can I get help?

Email tropicaddons@proton.me or open an issue on GitHub. Include your Firefox version and the website where the problem occurs.

Give it a listen.
